Freelance Music/Showbiz Journalist Wanted @ CapitalFM.Com

We’re on the lookout for an experienced freelance journalist that lives and breathes pop music and the wider showbiz world. The kind of person who knows exactly which popstars are currently on tour, loves watching I’m A Celeb and spends their Friday mornings buried in #NewMusicFriday playlists.

A strong understanding of image usage rights, SEO techniques, along with an awareness of current social media strategy is required.

You’ll be responsible for creating SEO optimised articles on capitalfm.com. We want someone with creative editorial ideas that are going to excite and engage 15-34 hit music lovers.

This is a Monday-Friday role, working from our London office. This post would be for 4-6 weeks.

Desirable skills and experience

Previous work for an online music/showbiz publication

Ability to write a punchy & engaging headlines

Experience with CMS, basic HTML skills

Social media savvy

Experience in the use of Photoshop & basic video editing skills
