Here’s a neat trick. I’ve been trying to get my head around trying to seed out content to all my social network groups in the fastest and easiest way possible and I think I’ve cracked it. Rather than populating the top of my browser with loads of Digg or Twitter icons, I’m using IE 8′s new web accelerator function combined with the Shareaholic service. The rest is easy. Simply:
- Download the IE Accelerator add-on from Shareaholic website here
- Install it and make sure you make it the default add-on for social networking tasks
- Then simply navigate to a piece of online content, right click on the headline. You should see this:
If you click on the Shareaholic icon you will be taken to a page of options like this:
Simply select the service you want, input your username and password for each account (you’ll only need to do this once) and BINGO your content will be ready to publish on that network.
As long as you have all your social network account details at hand, it’s pretty easy to set this all up. With the combined power of Accelerator and Shareaholic I would say that what would have normally taken me an hour, now takes me about 15 minutes. Brilliant stuff.
All I need to do now is read the new Trust Agents book so I can figure out how to do all of this without spamming anyone! More on that later.
Good luck.
