My 2025 SEO predictions

It's that time of year again and I have been incredibly humbled by being asked to contribute to the WTF is SEO roundup of predictions. I re-read this and wondered if it wasn't a little harsh, but no, I stand by it. The days of massive traffic numbers via SEO are (currently) over BUT that doesn't mean the DEATH OF SEO. It's an indicator of a massive digital sea change - brought about by many factors, and a unique opportunity for SEOs to get across the latest technology in order to assist editorial teams. It really does feels like a pivotal time as what we know about AI, and how we use it, is going to drastically change in six months. Perhaps, it's we should throwaway the annual predications in favour of quarterly updates - or maybe even monthly.
